A New Chapter in the Wizarding World
Universal Orlando has already given us two incredible Harry Potter themed lands
- Hogsmeade at Islands of Adventure, where guests can sip Butterbeer under the shadow of Hogwarts Castle and ride Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure
- Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida, home to Gringotts Bank, Knockturn Alley, and the iconic Hogwarts Express.
Â
But the Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe is looking to be something entirely different. Instead of revisiting other well known locations in the world of Harry Potter, this land will let us step into the wizarding political hub, a setting that has never been fully realised in any theme park form before.Â
And here’s the biggest twist, while many expected a direct adaptation of the British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter books, Universal is taking us back to the 1920s French Ministry of Magic, as seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
This setting opens the door for an entirely new era of magic, rich with wizarding politics, secret societies, and the growing threat of Gellert Grindelwald. Whether you’re hoping to fight against the dark forces or just sneak a peek at some Ministry classified documents, this expansion promises to be unlike anything we’ve seen before.
Confirmed Details: What Awaits Inside the Ministry of Magic?
While Universal has kept many details locked away tighter than a Gringotts vault, here’s what we know will be included
The Grand Entrance, The Floo Network and Parisian Architecture
Entering the Ministry of Magic is expected to be an attraction in itself. In the books, wizards typically access the British Ministry through either,
- The Floo Network: Toss a pinch of Floo Powder into a fireplace, speak your destination, and WHOOSH! (Just try not to mispronounce it like Harry did.)
- The Red Telephone Booth: The classic London entryway that requires dialings 62442 (M-A-G-I-C) for those that still remember what texts use to be like before modern day phones.
However, since we’re in 1920s France, guests will likely descend through the grand Art Nouveau entrance from Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The concept art has suggested guests may step through magical fireplaces, transported into the Ministry through an impressive mix of practical sets, projection effects, and trackless ride technology, all which look to be true from the recent photos.
The Grand Atrium, A Towering Marvel of Magic
The Ministry’s Grand Atrium is one of the most breathtaking locations in the Wizarding World films, and Universal is bringing it to life in spectacular fashion. Based on confirmed concept art, we can expect.
- Massive golden statues, similar to the Fountain of Magical Brethren seen in The Order of the Phoenix.
- Floating memos and enchanted newspapers, possibly achieved with projection effects or drones.
- Ministry workers in 1920s wizarding attire, enhancing the immersive storytelling.
This grand space could also serve as a hub, connecting different areas of the Ministry much like Diagon Alley’s Carkitt Market.
What Rides Are Coming to the Ministry of Magic?
No Wizarding World expansion is complete without mind-blowing rides, and the Ministry of Magic is going to feature another major attraction.
The Ministry Escape, A Thrilling Adventure Through the Department of Mysteries?
While not yet confirmed, rumours suggest a thrilling attraction inspired by The Deathly Hallows Ministry infiltration scene. This will involve:
- Navigating the Department of Mysteries, dodging flying prophecy orbs and interacting with time-turners.
- Encountering Dementors and Death Eaters, special effects, and projection mapping.
- A high-speed escape sequence, possibly featuring elements of a drop track or motion simulator.

Le Cirque Arcanus
Step right up to Le Cirque Arcanus, where the magical wonders extend beyond the stage. Inspired by the infamous traveling wizarding circus seen in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald.
Be spellbound by enchanting acrobats defy gravity, mystical creatures take centre stage, and illusionists bend reality itself. Complete with1920s-inspired aesthetic, the show blends special effects with world-class live entertainment, immersing guests in the golden age of wizarding spectacle.
Dining & Shopping, What Wizarding Treats Await?
Wizarding World of Harry Potter would not be complete without food and merchandise, and the Ministry of Magic is expected to deliver plenty of both.
A Taste of the Wizarding Bureaucracy
Universal has officially announced the dining locations coming to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic at Epic Universe, and they perfectly complement the 1920s magical setting. A magical place where you can grab a unique bite or a sip, while navigating the labyrinth of wizarding bureaucracy.

Each of these locations will add to the immersive, vintage feel of the land, making the Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic an enchanting place to dine and unwind.
