A Thrilling Coaster at Epic Universe
Epic Universe is set to open on May 22nd 2025, this park will transport guests into new worlds all unique to Universal Studios Orlando, and featuring new levels of immersive attractions.
One of the most exciting additions is How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, a world where guests become part of this Viking village from the beloved DreamWorks franchise.
Among Isle of Berks several attractions on offer, Hiccup’s Wing Gliders looks to be the standout ride. Offering the thrill of dragon flight without the need for an actual fire breathing companion.
What is Hiccup’s Wing Gliders
Hiccup’s Wing Gliders is a family friendly rollercoaster, which will send you soaring through the skies, lands and around the Isle of Berk. The concept follows Hiccup’s innovative engineering skills, allowing guests to take to the skies in dragon styled coaster. This ride will let guests experience launches, twists, and turns and looks to simulate the movements of a real dragon flight, making it the ultimate adventure for How to Train Your Dragon fans.
So small that it'll sit almost unnoticed in any pocket or bag. Its cylindrical design offers a remarkable capacity-to-size ratio.
Ride Experience
We do know that Hiccup’s Wing Gliders will be a multi-launch rollercoaster featuring: Speeds reaching 45 mph, this will offer perfect thrills while still allowing younger riders to experience this attraction. A curving, weaving design which will fly over and under Isle of Berk, with its many tight turns.
Who Can Ride Hiccup’s Wing Gliders
Universal has confirmed minimum height restriction of 40 inches, making it accessible to kids while still exciting for adults. It’s likely to be a step up from Flight of the Hippogriff but not as intense as VelociCoaster.
