A Space-Age Sip Spot
If you’ve ever wandered through EPCOT with a drink in hand and thought, “I wish there were a quiet spot just for grown-ups,” well, I guess the Disney fairy has heard you! Coming soon to Spaceship Earth is GEO-82, an adults-only lounge designed to be an oasis of relaxation in the heart of the park. It’s like a VIP pass to sipping in style, no strollers, no sugar crashes, just an elegant retreat in Disney’s most futuristic park.
A Lounge with a Legacy
The name GEO-82 isn’t just plucked from the outer rim. “GEO” gives a nod to the geodesic dome design of Spaceship Earth (because, let’s face it, that golf ball is iconic), while “82” marks the year EPCOT first welcomed guests giving them a glimpse into the future (all the way back in 1982) when neon jumpsuits and synth music ruled the world. Now, over 40 years later, EPCOT is getting a lounge that blends nostalgia with a sleek, modern atmosphere.

What’s on the Menu?
Disney hasn’t released a full menu yet, but I’d take an educated guess (or is it just wishful thinking) based on their recent lounge offerings:
- Signature Cocktails: Expect drinks that play into EPCOT’s futuristic vibe, possibly featuring molecular mixology, glowing ice cubes, or drinks that change colour faster than the lights on Spaceship Earth.
- Craft Beers & Fine Wines: If you’re more of a sip and savour type, GEO-82 will likely have a curated selection of high-end beverages.
- Global Small Plates: Given EPCOT’s international theme, it wouldn’t be surprising to see tapas-style dishes inspired by different World Showcase pavilions. Fingers crossed for something French and fancy.
Elevated, Exclusive, EPCOT
A lounge that feels like the inside of Spaceship Earth, but without the time-travel narration (although a cocktail menu narrated by Judy Dench, I wouldn’t say no). Disney is aiming for a, futuristic aesthetic with views of the park that are out of this world. The location within World Celebration will likely offer prime seating for nighttime spectaculars, would could make it one of the most desirable lounge spots at Walt Disney World.

How to Get On the GEO-82 Invite List
There’s the catch! GEO-82 won’t be a free-for-all. This will be a reservations-only experience, and if Disney’s recent lounges (looking at you, Space 220, as I still try to snag a reservation) have taught us anything, scoring a seat might require some serious planning and fiddles with the myDisney experience app. Set those alarms, refresh that Disney app, and be prepared to book as soon as reservations open!
Will GEO-82 Be Worth the Hype?
If you love EPCOT, specialty cocktails, and exclusive experiences, then yes, GEO-82 is shaping up to be a must-visit (for those travelling without children, and over the age of 21). While the details are still emerging, this looks like a perfect blend of theme park fun and relaxation. And sometimes, after a full day of walking 20,000 steps around World Showcase, you just want to sink into a comfy chair with a well made drink and admire the view. Although those 20,000 sets get easier if your drinking the way around world showcase (But do this responsibly).

Plan Your EPCOT Getaway
Thinking of visiting GEO-82 when it opens? Make sure to grab your park tickets early (we recommend checking out AttractionTickets.com for great deals). And if you want to make a night of it, consider staying at a Disney resort within walking distance, like the Yacht & Beach Club or BoardWalk Inn, or use the Disney Transportation back to your Disney accommodation, you’ll be sipping in style and back to your room in no time.
One thing’s for sure with this announcement, EPCOT’s adults-only lounge scene is about to level up, and we can’t wait to experience GEO-82 for ourselves on our next child free trip. So, raise a glass to the future… just, you know, make sure it’s a responsibly priced Disney cocktail and not a $17 tiny cup of wine from France (we’ve all been there, to many times).
Final Thoughts: Why This Lounge Matters
The addition of GEO-82 signals something big for EPCOT. For years, the park has been transforming, bringing back nostalgic touches mixing them with new experiences. With attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and the Moana-inspired Journey of Water, Disney is making EPCOT a more balanced park destination for everyone, and now including those who want a relaxing space to unwind without being surrounded by a sea of Mickey-shaped balloons.
This lounge could be a game-changer for adult Disney fans looking for a little more sophistication in their theme park experience. It also opens the door for Disney to expand on the idea of exclusive, high-end dining and lounge experiences in other parks (could we get one inside Cinderella Castle next? Unlikely, but we can dream!).
So, whether you’re an EPCOT veteran or a first-time visitor, GEO-82 is one to watch. And as soon as Disney drops more details (like those all-important drink prices), we’ll be here to spill the tea… or the space-aged old fashioned.
