Epic Universe Single-Day Tickets Are Here! What You Need to Know
Universal Orlando has officially opened the gates (figuratively speaking), single-day tickets for the highly anticipated new Epic Universe theme park! If you’ve been dreaming of stepping into the new immersive worlds of Harry Potter, Super Nintendo, How to Train Your Dragon and Dark Universe, this news is epic indeed.
With Epic Universes grand opening set for May 22, 2025, this is the perfect time to start planning your visit. But before you grab your wizard robes, dragon saddle, or plunger, let’s look at the details.
Epic Universe, What’s the Hype?
If you haven’t been obsessively following every construction update (guilty as charged), Epic Universe is Universal’s BIGGEST theme park expansion. This Epic park has five fully immersive lands, each with state of the art attractions, immersive dining locations, live shows and experiences that will blow you away. Here’s a quick overview of what to expect:
- Celestial Park – This is the heart of the park, a futuristic hub world filled with stunning landscapes, interactive water features, and a highly anticipated dual-racing coaster.
- The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic, Step into 1920s Paris and the British Ministry of Magic for a Fantastic Beasts inspired adventure.
- Super Nintendo World, jump into the Mushroom Kingdom, race through Bowser’s Castle, and punch Blocks (responsibly).
- How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk – Soar with dragons in a Viking village straight out of DreamWorks’ beloved franchise.
- Dark Universe – A horror lover’s dream, featuring classic Universal Monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, and the Creature from the Black Lagoon.
With all these lands, one day might not be enough, but now, at least, you have that option! Universal have realised single day tickets available from June 1st 2025 though to the end of 2025.
How Much Do Tickets Cost?
Pricing for single-day tickets varies by date:
- Starting at $139 for adults and $134 for kids, primarily for weekdays in early September.
- Peak summer prices (June, July, August) range from $164 to $189 per person per day.
- Holiday pricing look to be up to $199 per day, so if you’re planning a festive visit, empty your Gringotts vault accordingly.
- Annual Passholders will get discounted rates (because loyalty pays off).
Tickets are now available for dates starting June 1, 2025. If you’re hoping to be among the first to explore Epic Universe, buy early, these tickets will go faster than Toothless flying round Isle Of Berk.
What About Multi-Day and Park-Hopping?
If you’re planning on visiting Universal Orlando’s other parks, there’s some good news here too! Two-Five day ticket options are also available, granting you:
- One day access at Epic Universe.
- And the reaming days at Universal Studios Florida and/or Islands of Adventure or Volcano Bay.
These multi day ticket options are perfect if you want to experience other amazing attractions like Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, VelociCoaster, or even save the earth on Men in Black Alien Attack while still having time for Epic Universe’s brand-new attractions.

Express Pass? VIP Tours? Not Yet…
One major thing missing from the announcement however, Epic Universe Express Passes. Universal hasn’t yet confirmed when guests will be able to skip the standby lines at Epic Universe, but they have said it will be offered later, most likely in late 2025.
Universal VIP Tours are also expected to be available at a later date, but no details yet. If you’re looking for a way to maximise your day without Express Pass, consider:
- Rope drop strategy, Arriving before the park opens can help you hit the biggest rides first.
- Staying at a Universal hotel, resorts like Hard Rock Hotel, Royal Pacific, and Portofino Bay offer Express Pass benefits for the other Universal parks.
- Be Close to Universals Epic Universe, resorts like the new signature Helios Grand Hotel (opening May 22nd 2025), Stella Nova and Terra Luna are the closets resorts to Epic Universe and will have transportation available to get you to the park.
But expect crowds and wait times to remain high over the coming months, especially during the peak summer season.
Should You Buy Now?
If you’re planning to visit Epic Universe in summer 2025, it’s worth grabbing your tickets sooner rather than later. Universal’s most anticipated park ever is going to be packed, and early ticket purchase will ensure you lock in availability (and potentially increased pricing).
Want to book your tickets now? Check availability on Universal’s website as currently the only place to buy single day tickets.

Final Thoughts: Is One Day Enough?
While one-day tickets are great for flexibility, let’s be real: Epic Universe is massive. If you really want to explore every detail from Super Mario World to helping Harry, Ron and Hermione save the day at the Battle at the Ministry, you might need two days (or even more).
That said, if you’re short on time or just want a taste of the new park, a single-day ticket is a fantastic option. Whether you’re Team Nintendo, Potter, Dragons, or Monsters, there’s something for everyone in Epic Universe.
