The Gran Fiesta Tour is Back ¡Vámonos!

Mexico pavilion

Exciting news this weekend for EPCOT (and Donald Duck) fans. After a short siesta, Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros is set to reopen on March 15th 2025, after its refurbishment closure on January 6th 2025. That’s right, that mischief making trio is back and ready to fiesta!

A Ride Worth Quacking About

Located inside the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT’s World Showcase, the Gran Fiesta Tour is a delightful indoor boat ride through vibrant Mexican landscapes. Follow along Panchito Pistoles and José Carioca as they frantically search for their wayward pal, who has (surprisingly) gone missing.

What’s New?

Disney has not announced any specific updates for the refurbishment, but it did require the draining of water to allow for the maintenance and enhancements to be completed. While we’re not expecting Donald to suddenly start behaving, these refurbishments typically focus on technical improvements and freshening up the visuals to enhance guest experiences.

Sunshine, Margaritas & Marigolds

If you’re heading to EPCOT for the big reopening, you’re in luck! The forecast for March 15th and 16th looks sunny, with temperatures between the mid-70s and mid-80s Fahrenheit (25°C to 30°C), perfect weather to also enjoy EPOCTS Flower and Garden Festival. And let’s be honest, nothing pairs better with a relaxing boat ride than a margarita (or three) from La Cava del Tequila (however, please remember food and drink are not allowed on the attractions).

While in the Mexico Pavilion, don’t miss some of festival exclusive treats like the:
Quesadilla de Flor de Calabaza – A cheesy, squash blossom-filled delight.
Tacos de Camarón – Because nothing says “springtime in EPCOT” like fresh shrimp tacos.
Piña Loca Margarita – Pineapple, tequila, and a little extra magic.

We are hoping for some brighter scenes, enhanced syncing with boat travel,  maybe a few hidden details, or even a surprise nod to classic Disney history. Lets see if Disney Imaginers can finally help Donald get his act together! (Probably not, but that’s why we love him)

The Return of a Classic

With the reopening of Gran Fiesta Tour, it is the perfect time to soak in the vibrant sights, the catchy tunes, along with Donald’s signature brand of chaos. Whether it’s your first time or your hundredth time, it’s always a fun and relaxing cruise through Mexico, laugh at Donald’s antics, and take in the colourful culture, lively music, and fiesta spirit.

So grab a drink, enjoy the festival, The Three Caballeros are waiting!

The End of It’s Tough to Be a Bug!, It Sure Is

More change is in the air over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, along with the major construction starting for the conversion of Dinoland USA into the Tropical Americas.

On March 16, 2025, Disney will say a final farewell to the (beloved by some) It’s Tough to Be a Bug! attraction. If you’ve ever sat in the Tree of Life theatre, you know the drill: you pop in for a tiny, fun, and for many, a child-terrifying 3D adventure.
